ANTIQUE ART NOUVEAU SOLID OAK BEDROOM SUITE WITH COPPER PANELS & STRAPPING C1890

Description

Antique Art Nouveau Solid Oak Bedroom Suite stamped with the name of E Brumfitt of Skipton (Yorkshire) and dating from around 1890. Of superb quality oak it consists of a triple wardrobe, dressing chest and marble topped washstand. More photographs available on request.
The Wardrobe has a carved cornice top with central carved pediment above a deep frieze with typical stylised Art Nouveau carving of swags & lilies. There is a full length shaped and bevelled mirrored door with copperised strapping to top and base and with original handle and flanked on either side by a full length door with two stylised Art Nouveau copperised panels above two long fielded panels and with copperised strapping to top and base with original handles. Internally there is double hanging space with one deep drawer to the base and open compartment and one side is fitted with four sliding trays above a further deep drawers. All of the drawers are oak lined with original handles. It stands on a deep plinth base and separates for ease of transporting.
Wardrobe Measures: 87" high x 25" deep x internal depth 20" x 77" wide
The Pedestal Washstand having a marble top above a central drawer with carved corner supports and a further drawer to each side all of which are oak lined and to each pedestal is a cupboard with copperised hinges to top and base above a fielded panel and to the centre is a copperised panel of art nouveau design. Internally there is a single shelf and it stands on a deep plinth base.
The washstand measures: 29" high x 24" deep x 48" wide
The Dressing Table Chest has a Central bevelled and shaped mirror ( matching the wardrobe) with carved pediment to the top and flanked on either side by shaped supports topped with turned finials above a small shelf with copperised lily motif and over a small drawer. It has a moulded edge to the top with a small drawer to either side of the inverted top over two long graduated drawers all of which are oak lined with original handles and standing on a plinth base.
The Dressing Table Measures: 29" high x 24" deep x 48" wide
