Description

Antique 18th Century Country Oak Box Settle and dating from around 1780 George 111. It has reeded sides and a carved frieze above three carved panels over four panels each with carved lozenge. It has downswept sillouette armrests on squared supports. It has a later plank seat which opens to reveal storage space and with a carved linen fold frieze above four panels to the front. It has panelled sides and original panelled back and is hand & peg joined.
Measures: 49" high x seat height 18" x 25" deep x 46" wide
A superb 18th Century Georgian Oak Box Settle in very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the oak oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
