Description

Superb Antique Satin Birch Large Dressing Table and dating from aorund 1880. This wardrobe is part of a Bedroom suite and we also have available to buy separately a matching Triple Wardrobe, bedside cabinet and half tester double bed. Please see the other items on our website ref no: 7125,7127 and 7130.
We feel it is a shame to split the suite so we will also be advertising the whole suite to buy as the complete set. This will be on our website under the refence number 7131 and a photograph of the suite in situ is shown.
This is for the Dressing Table only which has a large mirror set within a shaped and moulded frame with pierced pedament to the top and on shaped supports with turned finials to the top and leading to a small turned gallery with matching finials above two small jewellery drawers to each side of the pedastal tops which have a moulded edge above four graduating drawers all of which are ash lined with gilt brass handles. To the dipped centre there is a single drawer above a panelled kneehole to the base of which is a panel which opens to reveal a secret compartment. It stands on a deep plinth base on castors and the top separates for ease of transporting.
Measures: height to top of mirror 77" x height to table top 36" x 21" deep x 59" wide
A superb quality dressing table in very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period.
