Description

Antique Victorian Carved Linen Fold Monks Bench and dating from aorund 1890. Constructed from solid oak it has three moulded panels to the top which fold down to form a table. When raised there is a carved linen fold frieze above a hinged plank seat opening to reveal a spacious box with moulded front and above three panels with carved frieze to the base. It has panelled sides and has shaped armrests above turned candlestick supports and stands on shaped block feet.
Measures: Height when raised 38" and 28" when folded x seat height 17" x 18" deep x 51" wide
in very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the oak and oozing all the charm and character of the period.
