Description

Antique Late 17th Century/Early 18th Century Country Oak Coffer Box and dating from around the time of Queen Anne C1700. It has a plank top with moulded edge above an incised carved frieze and the letters R D carved to the centre. This is above three incised carved panels and it stands on style legs. It has panelled sides and is hand and peg joined.
Measures: 25" high x 18.5" deep x 43" wide
In very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the oak and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Unfortunately the photographs make it appear 'dull' in fact it has been cleaned using a traditional wax polish.
