Description

A George 3rd Mahogany clothes press and dating from around 1790. This wonderful example has a moulded cornice with Satin wood strung lip underneath. It has two doors to the front both of which have a moulded panel with Satin wood inlaid oval to the centre. There is a key and a hanging rail inside. The base is moulded around the top with two short above three Oak lined drawers all of which have original Brass handles and Satin wood strung drawer fronts. It is moulded around the bottom and stands on Ogee bracket feet. It separates into three pieces for ease of movement.
Measures: Height: 81" x Internal Depth on Top: 20.5" x Depth: 23" x Width: 49"
