Antique Arts & Crafts Oak Open Bookcase on cupboard dating from around 1890 with wording from the poem � The Present Crisis� by James Russell Powell ( 1809-1891). Constructed from quality oak it has a swan neck pediment top above three fully adjustable shelves all of which have a hinged drop down dust flap with original hand written lines from the Poem � The Present Crisis � which reads as follows;

To the base there is a reeded edge to the top above two moulded plank panelled doors with original brass handles and strap hinges. Internally there is a single shelf . It is raised on bracket feet and the top removes for ease of transporting.
