Description

Antique Regency Mahogany Clothes Press and dating from around 1820. Constructed from quality mahogany it has a cornice top with crossbanded frieze and fine stringing. There are two panelled doors with fine stringing of ebony and satinwood and with working key. Internally it is all hanging with a brass rail. The base is moulded to the top with two short drawers over two long drawers all of which are oak lined with original brass handles. It is moulded to the base and is raised on splayed bracket feet . The top separates from the base for ease of transporting.

With a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
