Description

Antique William 1V Mahogany Serpentine Chiffonier and dating from around 1830. Constructed from quality mahogany. It has a scrolled pedament top carved with Acanthus leaf and serpentine shaped shelf on scrolled supports with a panelled back and with a moulded edge to the serpentine shaped top above a frieze drawer which is mahogany lined and with original working key. There are two arched panelled flamed mahogany doors each with working key and internally there are three graduating drawers all of which are mahogany lined with original knob handles and to the other side there is a single shelf. It stands on a serpentine shaped plinth base and to each side are impressive scrolled pillar supports.
The top removes from the base for ease of transporting.
Measures: 58" high to top x 37" high to base x 20" deep x 56" wide

In very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the mahogany oozing all the charm and character of the period.
